Tech Diet Club ➠ Welcome to Tech Diet Club: where practical tech insights meet simplicity!

Hello World - Welcome to Tech Diet Club
I've decided it's time to start sharing more of what I am learning along the way. I find myself having tons of scattered notes and links, and I think they might be useful to someone. Welcome to Tech Diet Club.
Why Another Tech Blog?
I don't see this as another tech blog, just me sharing things that end up piling up in my notes documents.
Tech Diet Club is my attempt to cut through the noise. No hype cycles, no buzzword bingo - just practical insights from someone who's been in the trenches scaling systems, building teams, and solving real-world problems.
What to Expect
This won't be a typical "I tried the latest framework and here's a tutorial" blog. Instead, I'll focus on:
- System design decisions that stood the test of time
- Leadership approaches that scale beyond small teams
- Architecture patterns that solve actual business problems
- Lessons from transforming organizations and infrastructure
- Occasional deep dives into cloud migrations and reliability engineering
- Random links I encounter I think are worth sharing
My experience spans from founding and running my own ISP to leading Spotify's Site Reliability Engineering department and migrating 15,000+ servers to Google Cloud. I've done technical due diligence for acquisitions and advised VCs on tech investments. These experiences have shaped how I think about technology, and I want to share those perspectives here.
The Tech Diet Philosophy
The name "Tech Diet Club" reflects my belief that we should be more intentional about the technologies we adopt. Just as a good diet focuses on nutrition rather than fads, a good tech stack focuses on solving real problems rather than chasing trends.
I recently started All Tuner Labs. At All Tuner Labs, we embrace simplicity. We've found that keeping things as straightforward as possible leads to more reliable systems and happier teams. This doesn't mean avoiding new technologies - it means adopting them thoughtfully and with purpose.
A Commitment to Consistency
One of the hardest parts of blogging is consistency. That's why I've built a tool to help me (and potentially others) maintain a regular posting schedule. I'll share more about that in my next post.
For now, I'd love to hear what you're interested in. Are there specific topics within system design, leadership, or scalability that you'd like me to address? Drop me a message and let me know.
Find me on Bluesky, X/Twitter or somewhere else.
Thanks for reading. Here's to cutting through the noise together.
