Some minutes ago, FCB fans had another chance to contemplate another amazing display of football, in an amazing first half against Panathinaikos.

Barcelona started the match with a total dominion over the Greeks. All the players in front of Busquets, have been playing one-touch showing their abilities moving the ball from wing to wing around the penalty area constantly switching their positions.

Barcelona has been showing its power for the first 15 minutes, however, after more than 5 clear chances to score the first goal, Valdés received a goal (Govou, 0-1) after a lucky back heel by Djibril Cissé right after a goal kick.

A few moments after the kick off, Barça kept moving the ball at a fast speed, that proved Panathinaikos first goal was nothing but an accident. Less than two minutes later Messi decided to start his show. First amazing goal after getting a pass from Xavi, who’s been all match long putting the ball in the right place, and offering himself as an ally for every midfielder.

Villa, who is getting used to be surrounded by some of the most skilled players in the world, scored 2-1 (minute 32) after receiving a pass from Busquets after a corner kick, who’s been performing amazingly in blocking Panathinaikos attacks.

The most wonderful goal tonite arrived before the half time. Messi played one-touch with Xavi, and afterwards with Pedro and shot the goal that made everyone think that the night was over.

During the second half, as usual, Barça decided to save efforts for the next league match against Atlético de Madrid and displayed a clever way of playing football that allowed the team to score two more goals by Pedro (minute 78) and Dani Alves (minute 93).

5-1. The show will go on.
